What is IV therapy, and how does it work?
Intravenous (IV) drip therapy is a treatment in which fluids are delivered directly into your bloodstream through an IV catheter. These IV's bypass the digestive system, which can allow for faster and more complete absorption compared to oral supplements. An IV catheter is inserted into the vein in the arm, and adminstered by LivWell's registered health care professionals.
What are the benefits of IV therapy?

How is IV therapy different from drinking water or taking vitamins?
Due to IV therapy being administered directly into the bloodstream, by-passing your digestive system, absorption of IV drip therapy can be up to 100%.
Who can benefit from IV therapy?
Anyone above the age of 18 years old, and completes a consultation with our registered health care professionals, can benefit from IV therapy!
Is IV therapy only for athletes or people who are sick?
No! IV therapy can be used for a variety of factors for a variety of people who are over 18 years old. Following a consult with our regsitered health care team and completing a health screening intake form, we will confirm whether or not any individual is safe to go ahead with IV therapy.

Our LivWell team of trained, and highly-skilled registered nurses.
How long does an IV drip session take?
On average, an IV therapy session is between 45-60 minutes. Each session varies depending on the individual, the drip that is decided on for therapy, and tolerating of the IV drip.
Can I customize my IV drip?
Yes! Each drip is personzlied to YOU following an indepth consultation with our registered health care team, and based on the decided upon treatment during the session.
Which IV drip is best for me?
This will be careful reviewed and discussed during your consultation with a registered health care professional to provide a perosnalized IV therapy plan for you.
Do I need a consultation before getting an IV?
Yes! Prior to your first IV therapy or IM therapy appointment, a consultation with our registered health care professionals is required to continue.
How soon will I feel the effects of my IV drip?
Each individual varies, some people notice an effect almost immediately, and some people within the first 24-48 hours based on anecdotes from clients.
Can I get IV therapy at home or at an event?
Yes! Following a consultation with our registered health care professionals, we can see if you, your partner, friends or team are eligable for a mobile appointment.
What should I do before and after my IV session?
Before your appointment, make sure to eat at least a light meal and hydrate normally. It is best to avoid caffiene and alcohol prior to the appointment. Following the appointment, continue to hydrate and eat as normal. Avoid excessive water or alcohol intake. Following your appointment you wil be monitored by our registered health care professionals prior to being sent home and provided with aftercare instructions and follow up care
